Made in Canada Opening

Here are pictures of the artwork and the opening reception of the Made in Canada show. Apparently the turnout was slightly small due to everyone staying home and fortifying their homes for the approaching hurricane! (Good reason!) But thanks to that crazy weather, my paintings are still available for sale! Surf on over and buy a piece (at a super affordable price!) online today!

Hi-Fructose posted about it on their blog. Continue reading ‘Made in Canada Opening’

Show me your Munny 2

My friends Christian and Erika that run the excellent Vancouver based toy shop Voltage, just put on their 2nd munny custom group show. They asked me to be a part of it and this is what I came up with.

About my Munny - Instead of being just one character, Friend machine is like a full page of doodles ripped from one of Jason’s sketchbooks. Black and White dogs, octopi, skulls and hearts smashed together on a bed of florescent safety pink. Yum!”

You can buy my munny figure for a ridiculously low price here! (update: Apparently it’s already sold! Sorry!)

Sketch Color Testing

I played around with some colors today - ( And tested out the new pen tablet I just got. coloring goes WAY faster when you aren’t working with a brick tied to a string!) I Scanned this napkin drawing I did awhile ago at a sushi place. (More stacked heads!)

I need to work out what I want to do for backgrounds. I never draw backgrounds, only characters, but since I want to get into painting again I need to figure out some good elements and overall style for that. I’ve been working on some clouds, ornate star things and bubbles.

Stay tuned for more tests before I get down to the canvas!

Pultz x d’Errico Print

If you like cute helmet girls getting groped by big, furry blue cat guys you’ve come to the right place! I still have some copies of the collaboration print “Sticky fingers.” This is the piece I made with my good friend Camilla d’Errico.

My first toy designs

I’ve been working with a new Vancouver based design toy company, OSO Design House on their first project, Bax Bear.

Bax Series 1 Case

Bax is a brand new 3 inch ABS collectible platform toy. Series 1 features designs by some of the top toy designers in the biz. Kei Sawada, Tim Tsui, Camilla d’Errico and more! I have 2 designs in Series 1. Scarybear Bax (based on my Scarybear character from my comic, Comic Strip) and Gumball Bax.

The figures come with key rings so you can wear them as accessories.
